As we kick off the first season of No Signal, we can’t help but look back on over 18 months of work to bring the best looking, best feeling product to market that we could. Endless tweaks to silhouettes, tariffs, delays, hiccups, mistakes. But that’s life in the apparel industry in 2025/2026. 

Our first collection is simple, and that’s intentional. We wanted pieces reduced to their most core elements: Fit, feel, and materials. Minimal logos, great colorways. Made Slowly in Los Angeles. 

As we continue to shape No Signal, we’ll show you some of the swipe that’s been on top of our moodboard as we developed the brand. Who we look up to, and what we hope to accomplish in our little corner of the sportswear market. We hope you, the wearer, will give us honest feedback on what we can do better, what you’d like to see from No Signal in the future. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve got in store for our upcoming drops. 

To look ahead, we looked to the past

No doubt, we wouldn’t be here without the gorpcore movement. Gorpcore took performance outerwear to the masses and brought Arc’teryx to the runways of Paris. It’s no surprise to skiers, mountaineers, hikers, and backpackers that technical, functional outerwear suited for high alpine environments and the world’s harshest conditions could also be incredible streetwear. 

We owe an incredible debt to the progression of sportswear and outerwear from that movement. We’ve taken great care to incorporate modern cues into our clothing: progressive tailoring, with comfort and performance in mind. Performance clothing HAS to look good. We’re beyond stoked that fashion and function are converging. We’ve been heavily inspired by fits from Acne Studios, Our Legacy, Nanamica for the tailoring of our core collection. 

But our moodboards are full of pieces and brands from a simpler era in sportswear, from the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. It was a less-is-more era. On paper, cotton canvas and wool garments seem primitive compared to Gore-Tex Pro, or PolarTech Alpha Direct Fabrics. But we love the feel of pieces that get better with wear, pieces that can transcend in your closet—from the trail to the airport, or a night out. We can’t help but be inspired by the utility, look, and feel from fabrics of that era. That’s why we’ve chosen to use as much natural materials as possible across our collection, and minimize the use of synthetics as much as possible. 

We believe merino wool is one of the world’s most impressive performance fabrics. It looks great, feels super soft, insulates when wet, and naturally resists odors. Our modern, progressive tailoring brings a fresh look to base layers you can wear on their own, or layer under your shell for bottomless pow days, or a warmup after a surf session.
